
Meet Dr. Cota
Bianca Cota holds a Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. In conjunction with her doctoral training, Dr. Cota also holds a master’s degree in the field of Organizational Behavior. She also studied forensic psychology, achieving an American Psychological Association (APA) research award for her contribution in the field of criminal justice. In recent years, she has served as a Subject Matter Expert for the California Board of Psychology.
Dr. Cota has more than 18 years of experience in the mental health field. Her clinical training and experience have produced opportunities to work in unique clinical settings. These have included state facilities, county detention centers, county mental health, and nonprofit community organizations. However, it is her work with diverse populations that is noteworthy. Dr. Cota has experience treating developmentally delayed individuals, trauma victims, youth and adult incarcerated offenders, neurodiverse individuals, and severely mentally ill adults. She currently provides treatment for mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, work-related stress, relationship discord, women’s health issues, non-lethal self-injury, and other serious emotional disturbances.
